- 解釈：九世紀半ば、カリフの力が弱ると、南イラクで農場奴隷たちが蜂起した。援軍の要請は繰り返しバグダッドに送られたが、町を救うのには間に合わなかった。奴隷たちは南アフリカのザンジュ出身の黒人たちで、バスラを占拠した黒人に対する差別と、自分たち部族の女を取られるかもしれないという恐怖感は、以後強烈なものとなった。
- Literal：It is the ruins after the revolt of Basra.
- Interpretation：When the power of the Caliph weakened at the mid-ninth century, farm slaves rose in revolt in south Iraq. The request of the reinforcement was sent to Baghdad repeatedly, but was not in time to save a town. Slaves were blacks from South Africa （ザンジュ）. The people of Basra had "the discrimination against black who occupied Basra" and "The scare that a woman of our tribe may have it stolen by them". Sense of fear became strong afterward.
